A Good Read

So while I was in Paradise, I read a book called Inside by Alix Ohlin.

Books are one of my favorite things... ever.  I'll read almost anything, as long as it keeps my attention.  I will put down a book in the middle of it if it has taken me a month to get there. If i really like a book.. you'll see me finish it in a couple of days.
I'd love to share with you when I finish a book I would definitely recommend. Like "Inside".  It did not take me very long to get through this book. It definitely helped that i had a beautiful, quiet environment to read in.

"Inside" is about the lives of three very different people and how they become intertwined and ultimately how knowing each other has affected each life. If you like psychology and sociology, this book is for you.  It is by no means a fast paced, keep you on the edge of your seat type book, but it really is interesting to listen to the inner workings of the minds of people, or at least I think it is!

Here we go!

I’m new to this blogging world, please bare with me!  I wasn’t sure when or how I would start writing on this little piece of the Internet, and then I went on vacation for a week.  I spent the last week here:

A week in paradise or.... Northwest Ontario… same thing! It was refreshing and rejuvenating and gave me the “umph” to get off my butt and start something that I’ve wanted to start for a long time now. This blog for me will be my space to share my thoughts, my designs, my ideas, my everyday life and all of the things that I love.

I have a 9-5 job, but I need more. I need my brain to focus on my true love, interior design, as this is what I think about 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  It needs an outlet so here I go!!

Every once in awhile I am going to share designs that I have come up with.  I love perusing the Internet and when I come across something that really speaks to me, I love trying to create a room around it.

This print “she is fierce” caught my eye on One Kings Lane one day and the first thing I thought of was, well, me… but the second thing I thought of was a sweet baby girl’s room.  I love designing nurseries because there are so many directions you can take with them! I love this room because it has a few grownup touches and yes it’s very soft and girly.  Am I the only one out there that would have to know what sex their baby is before it is born? Maybe it’s a decorating thing.
