So here is my version. Not nearly as fabulous, but it will do!
Lately I cannot get my wedding out of my head. That's normal right? Recently Steve and I registered. Do you know how fun it is to shop with the knowledge that you might get some of the things you really want and not even have to pay for them? Its the BEST kind of window shopping! Anywho, I thought for today's what's not to love, I would give everyone a taste/hint of my very favorite items on my registry. This is why people get married right?! JUST KIDDING!
Now let me give you a little insight into how this shopping trip went... registering with Steve was a riot! The things that he picked... the spaghetti measurer. We HAD to put this on our list... as he has NO idea how to cook and needs a measurement for everything. Now don't get me wrong... just because he has to measure everything, doesn't mean he can't cook! He makes the best french toast I have ever had! Next.. the food processor. I was trying to explain to Steve what a food processor is good for... and during, he says to me.. "i'd love an automatic cheese grater"... well BINGO! STEVE GUESS WHAT!! A food processor does that! SOLD! WOO! Less on the funny side... we have been (and by we, I mean I) looking for a long time for the perfect bathroom accessories. I have found them at Urban Barn. I love the Authentic Soap Pump. It is absolutely perfect. It's a little rustic and a little modern all wrapped up in one parcel.. kind of describes my style to a T. Anyone out there that's actually listening? I thank you in advance for any shower/wedding gifts. I am not as selfish as this post may sound, more excited than anything! And Steve, well he only really wants an automatic salt and pepper shaker.... he's easy to please ;)
is what I would LOVE My patio to look like this summer. Ok, lets get real for a second… I wish that I had a huge patio and a back yard this summer. Someday I will have a real house…and a yard… and a garage… I guess I am dreaming about more than just the weather!
It made me want to try my hand at designing a similar room! Here's what I came up with…
What do you think? I'd move in! I think I always say that though!
This wood and...slate? chevron wall is AH-MAZE-ING! I love it.. and would love to duplicate it. And the fact that it is on what looks to me like a concrete wall...the room of my dreams? Quite possibly!
Now this room...something about simple wood floors with a fun accent gets me every time! It's a simple statement and then bringing in the pops of color in the bedding.. perfect! Oh and have I mentioned the lack of clutter! That's my very very favorite!
Last but not least.. brick..always a favorite. White painted brick?! Even better. I think even painted white that brick gives off such a feeling of warmth and comfort. I may be the only one that feels that way...and I don't care! And can I just point out the floors in this room? They look about 100 years old and they are GORGEOUS! Oh and the headboard! Let's not forget this gorgeous headboard that takes this room from rustic to glamorous in .02 seconds! Sarah M Dorsey has a tutorial on her blog that I have wanted to try for a long time now! Maybe I can convince Steve to help me give it a go!
